Free online service for wine lovers

www.corkd.com

Free online service for wine lovers

Cork’d is a free online networking (and more) service for wine lovers. It’s kind of like Flickr for wine.

You can use Cork’d to catalog, rate and review wines you’ve tasted. You can also keep track of wines you’d like to try and buy as well as subscribe to what your buddies have reviewed. It’s a new way to discover and share wine — and we think it’s perfect for people like you.

It’s really a neat service. If you’re new to the WWW (wide world of wine) or a wine expert who’d like to share their favorites with others, Cork’d is the online arena built just for you.

Hand-Cranked Radio

Sony ICF-B01 Hand-Cranked Radio

Sony announced the ICF-B01, a hand-cranked portable FM/AM radio that might come in handy this hurricane season. It’s battery-powered, but when that internal battery runs down, a minute of cranking gives you an hour of AM reception, 40 minutes of FM and can charge up your cellphone, too. It has an LED light so you can read the instructions on that freeze-dried food, and hey, maybe the cellphones will still be working when the power’s out. All this hand-cranked goodness will be available June 10th for $54.
