The worst time to visit the campus bookstore is at the beginning of the semester, when everyone else is shopping there too. You have to get an early start, or else the books sell out and you're left unprepared for the first day of class; but you still have to fight huge lines and massive crowds just to make your way through the store. CafeScribe, a new service that hopes to make it easier for students to download their textbooks instead of carry them around (and save both trees and students' money in the process), wants to free college students from the bookstore forever.
