TIP OF THE DAY
Google Reverse Lookup - WARNING
Google has implemented a new feature for doing a reverse lookup on phone numbers. If you type a phone number on the Google search page, it will return the name and address associated with that number, and a helpful map and driving directions for getting to the location (unless the number is unlisted). Basically, anyone that knows your phone number can go to Google, type it in, and get a map/directions to your front door. This is a powerful search tool, but may be of concern to some folks who don't want others to be able to find out their name and address by their phone number.
If you want to block Google from divulging your such information, go to www.google.com. In the search window, enter your telephone number with the area code. When the results are returned, simply click on the telephone icon next to your information. You will see a link where you are allowed to remove information.
